As a member of Ramsey Ambulance, you will use various applications throughout your career. Below is a description of all the apps and programs we use and links for them.
When To Work- When to work is our scheduling software. Through this program, you can sign up for shifts and special details.
EDispatch- EDispatch is a program we use as our digital pager. This program plays our dispatch tones through your phone to alert you to a call.
I Am Responding- This program is connected to the police dispatch desk so they can see we have a crew responding to the call. The officers use it to know who is on the ambulance. It is imperative that you call in for every call you go on.
ImageTrend- All patient care activities must be charted. This software allows us to digitally create patient care reports or PCRs. All members of the crew must sign PCRs.

Operational teams assist the Operations office in their day-to-day responsibilities. Members are encouraged to join if interested. Email the Chief if you would like to inquire more.
EMT or Driver?
The EMT class is offered every Fall, Spring, and Summer starting in September, February, and June respectively. It is a 6-month course in the fall and spring, every Monday and Wednesday or every Tuesday and Thursday. There are also select Saturdays or Sundays you will have to attend class. Classes are held in either Mahwah or Paramus.
When the class opens up the line will send out an email and will work with you to get you into the class. You will be able to see what days work best for you and what time each class starts. This is a tough class but there are many resources available to you to help you through it. We host a study group at the building once a week, email Chris Hurley for more information.
